"These strong, courageous, capable young women will take our place and complete our work."
Susan B. Anthony in a letter to Elizabeth Cady Stanton, 1902

The Anthony Center at the University of Rochester celebrates women's achievements and works to understand and overcome remaining barriers to their full equality.

100 Years Since Susan B.: Consider the Anthony Legacy
2006 marks one hundred years since Susan B. Anthony's death and begins a yearlong reflection on her work—on her vision and hopes and how far women have come since her life's dream became our mission. Programs include the first ever history conference focused on Anthony's life and times, Susan B. Anthony & the Struggle for Equal Rights. Our calendar of other events (PDF) throughout the region will tell you how to join with others to extol and examine women's progress. We invite you to ask yourself, "What would Susan say?" at our blog.
